Mango Shrikhand

Shrikhand is a traditional dish of India which is very popular in the state of Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is mainly made from Strained Curd/Yogurt flavored with cardamom and saffron.

It’s the easiest dessert to make which does not require any cooking involved. Just whisk whisk whisk and its ready 😊The most important tip to get the creamiest Shrikhand is to ensure there is no or minimal water content to it.

Today we are making the yummiest version of Shrikhand by adding mangoes to it as mango is very much in season. So, why not to mix the best combo ever 😊


  • Yogurt: 3 cups

  • Powdered Sugar: ¼ cup

  • Cardamom Powder: ½ Tsp

  • Saffron: 7-8 Strands

  • Mango Pulp: 1 med size mango

Let's Started:

  1. Hang the yogurt in Cheesecloth for 45-50 mins to get the water out of it.

  2. Add powdered sugar to the hung curd and whisk well.

  3. Once the sugar is well Incorporated, add the cardamom powder and saffron strand to it for flavors and beautiful color.

  4. Finally, add the mango pulp to add the mango beauty to it.

  5. Whisk well and keep it in the fridge for 2-3 hours to get the best taste.

  6. After 2-3 hours garnish it with saffron strands and serve it chilled.

Tips: Pista/Almond or any dry fruits of your choice can be added to it for crunch.
